Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast visitors will be picked up from their hotel in Arusha and driven to Lake Manyara National Park for an afternoon game drive. The park is a thin green band of forest flanked on one side by the sheer 600metres high red and brown cliffs of the escarpment and on the other by the white-hot shores of an ancient soda lake. They will have dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.
After breakfast, they will be taken for a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. The park has a good network of tracks and roads which allows excellent viewing opportunities. Animals seen include buffalo and elephants, the tree-climbing Lions, Giraffe, and Hippo. Thousands of flamingos, Red-billed quelea, Pelicans are few of the many bird species can be seen here. In the afternoon they will be driven to Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro camp. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area covers 8,292 square kilometers. It is one of the three divisions that comprise Ngorongoro District in the Arusha Region of Tanzania.
The Ngorongoro crater is an extinct volcano with the highest concentration of game in Africa.The vast bowl of Ngorongoro is home to Africa's highest density of mammalian predators and is host to a staggering population of around 25 000 big animals. Ngorongorohosts Africa's Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhino) as well as several other wildlife species including hippo, zebra, gazelle, warthog and eland. On this safari, visitors will descend to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater, some 2000 feet (over 600 meters) for half-day or full-day game viewing adventures in this unique wildlife sanctuary.
After breakfast, visitors will leave Ngorongoro Crater for Tarangire National park with lunch en route. The park has an atmosphere of remoteness and has a good number of monkeys, hornbills, pelicans, and herons among others. Tarangire National Park is the sixth largest national park in Tanzania and is located in Manyara Region.
Herds of up to 300 elephants scratch the dry river bed for underground streams, while migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland crowd the shrinking lagoons. Visitors will have dinner and overnight stay at the campsite
